Former Veritas and Hitachi Data Systems Executive Brings Strong Data Management Experience to Accelerate Worldwide Sales
SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Cohesity today announced the appointment of Michael Cremen to the new role of chief revenue officer. Cremen brings to Cohesity more than 25 years of experience in data management, working closely with customers and partners to back up, store, and realize value from their data. In this role, he will leverage his vast international experience to oversee all sales and partner functions worldwide.
Prior to joining Cohesity, Cremen was senior vice president at Veritas, where he was responsible for sales, management, operations, and the financial performance of the Veritas business in the United States, Latin America, and Canada. Prior to Veritas, Cremen served as executive vice president of global sales for $4 billion Hitachi Data Systems. Cremen was a member of the company’s executive committee and played a key role in the company’s pivot to data analytics and the Internet of Things (IoT).
“Cohesity is disrupting the data management market and empowering companies to back up, manage, and extract value from their data in a way that is unique in the industry,” said Cremen. “Cohesity’s vision and game-changing solutions are opening a new world of opportunities for organizations globally. The company has achieved a 100 percent year-over-year increase in software revenues and I’m excited to play a key role in driving the next wave of success for the company and for our customers and partners.”
“Michael has proven success building high-performance sales and partner organizations worldwide and consistently delivering strong results,” said Mohit Aron, founder and CEO, Cohesity. “He has lived and operated in many regions of the globe, and this coupled with his deep knowledge of our industry promises to have an immediate positive impact on our business domestically and abroad. We are thrilled to have Michael as part of our executive leadership team.”
Cohesity ushers in a new era in data management that solves a critical challenge facing businesses today: mass data fragmentation. The vast majority of enterprise data — backups, archives, file shares, object stores, and data used for dev/test and analytics — sits in fragmented infrastructure silos that make it hard to protect, expensive to manage, and difficult to analyze. Cohesity consolidates silos onto one web-scale platform, spanning on-premises, cloud, and the edge, and uniquely empowers organizations to run apps on that platform — making it easier than ever to back up and extract insights from data. Cohesity is a 2019 CNBC Disruptor and was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. Visit our website and blog, follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn and like us on Facebook.
